Responsible Gambling
Vegastars takes responsible gambling seriously, not as a footnote, but as a core part of how the platform operates. The well-being of players comes first, and that means going beyond the basics when it comes to education and prevention.
The stance here is simple: informed players make better decisions. Problem gambling is more common than most people acknowledge, and its effects rarely stop at the bank account.
Recognising the signs
Financial stress is the obvious one, but problem gambling tends to show up in other ways too:
- Spending more time or money gambling than planned
- Arguments with family or friends following a session
- Guilt or regret after gambling
- Missing work or other commitments to gamble
- Concealing the extent of gambling from others
Recognising any of these in yourself takes honesty, and that honesty matters. If something on that list sounds familiar, the tools below are there for a reason.
The tools available
All limits and controls are accessible directly within your account profile.
Deposit Limit: Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on deposits. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately. Raising or removing one requires a 24-hour cooling-off period.
Loss Limit: Choose the maximum net loss you're comfortable with over a day, week, or month. Profits don't reduce your loss total, and unsettled bets count toward it. Reductions apply straight away; increases kick in after 24 hours.
Wager Limit: Cap the total amount wagered over a set period. This isn't a net figure, so winnings don't offset it. Same rules apply: decreases are immediate, increases take 24 hours.
Time-Out: Step away for 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or 3 months. During that period, deposits and promotional offers are off the table, though withdrawals remain available. The account reactivates automatically when the period ends.
Self-Exclusion: For more significant breaks, exclusion periods of 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or permanently are available. Deposits and betting stop immediately. Withdrawals can still be processed. For exclusions of six months or longer, reactivation requires confirmation through a documented process, plus a 3-day cooling-off period once the exclusion lapses. Permanent exclusions include a remittance of any remaining balance. Self-exclusion covers all brands under the same licence.
Where the platform identifies concerning behaviour, it may step in with operator-set limits, proactive contact, temporary suspension, or a mandatory exclusion. These decisions are assessed and recorded.

Age verification
Vegastars only accepts players aged 18 and over. Every available method is used to prevent underage registration. The platform reserves the right to request proof of identity at any point, and access will be refused if a player hasn't reached legal age.
The internet being what it is, parental controls still matter. Software tools exist specifically to restrict access to gambling sites, and parents are encouraged to make use of them.
